A former children's bookseller, she earned her MFA in creative writing at the New School. She works as a YA librarian at a private school on the Upper West Side. A former editor for Alloy Entertainment, she received her MFA in creative writing at the New School. She teaches creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh.
