Register With Us
When you place your first order with us, we will automatically create an account for you.
There is no need to register unless you want to place an order. You only have to register once, thereafter, you only need to login using your e-mail address and password. Should you wish to register for a newsletter, please select a newsletter option/s from the list provided before completing your registration, or go to the Newsletter section located in the left hand navigation column.

Find a Book
Use the search bar located just below the top horizontal menu bar. This facility allows you to find books by title, keyword, author and ISBN or EAN. Should you not be able to find the book you are looking for please feel free to drop us a line at info@exclusivebooks.co.za. Alternatively click on the Advanced Search link to do a more comprehensive search, also located just below the top horizontal menu bar.

Order a Book
Shopping on Exclusive Books.Com is 100% secure. We use a 128-bit Thawte digital certificate to ensure your security. Find out more about our security status by clicking here.
To place a book into your shopping cart, simply click the "Add to Cart" button. This will add the item to your cart and display your cart contents. You can either continue shopping by using the category drop down menu above the basket.
If you are happy with the items in your shopping basket and have decided to place your order, simply click "Check Out", which appears in the bottom right corner of the Check Out screen.
Fill in the details required and confirm your order, it's as simple as that.
Your details will automatically be stored in an account the first time you make a purchase, so you will not have to fill in all your details again.
After you have submitted your order, you will receive an e-mail confirming the details of your order (it will contain a unique order number). This e-mail should arrive shortly after placing your order successfully.

Shipping Methods and Delivery times:
South African Deliveries
We use three shipping methods, one of which you must choose when placing your order:
- Shipping to one of our physical stores (Free of charge)
- Shipping to a street address, such as your home or office (via ConvergEX)
- Shipping to a PO Box (via Speed Services) (Only available in South Africa)
Local titles take approximately 5 - 9 working days to obtain, whilst imported titles take approximately 10 - 15 working days to obtain. The times given above for obtaining books are an approximation; please do not confuse this with the delivery times below.
Once we have obtained the books from our distributors, Street address and PO Box shipping is a 24-hour service to major centres, and a 48-hour service elsewhere in SA.
Please note: Street address deliveries are only available during normal office hours, Monday to Friday. Shipping to one of our stores will take longer than PO Box or Street Address deliveries.
Costs for Store shipping: Shipping items to one of our physical stores in South Africa is a FREE service.
Costs for Door to Door shipping: Shipping items to a street address (method 1) has a fixed cost per shipment. The cost for this method is always R30.00, regardless of the number of items shipped. Please note that this is a charge per shipment, not per order. If you choose to have your books shipped separately, you will be charged R30.00 each time we send a book to you.
Costs for PO Box shipping: Shipping items to a PO Box (method 2) has a fixed cost per shipment. The cost for this method is always R45.00, regardless of the number of items shipped. Please note that this is a charge per shipment, not per order. If you choose to have your books shipped separately, you will be charged R45.00 each time we send a book to you.
Please note: that this option is not available for delivery addresses outside South Africa. If you want your parcel delivered to an international address, you must select International shipping.
International shipping
For international customers we use ConvergEX couriers. Depending on where in the world you are, this service will take between 3 and 7 working days from despatch of your order (after we have obtained your books from the distributors). At present we charge R140.00 for the first book in a shipment, and R60.00 for each subsequent book in the same shipment.
When we despatch your parcel, we send you an e-mail to notify you of this fact. In that e-mail is a tracking number. back to top
Tracking your Order
To track orders or to check your order status, simply click on the "Track Your Order" link in the shopping cart area located in the top right hand corner of every page.

If you are expecting a delivery to your door, you may visit the ConvergEX website with that tracking number and locate the parcel.
If you are expecting a delivery to your PO Box, you may visit the Speed Services website with that tracking number and locate the parcel.
If you are expecting a store delivery, you may contact us directly with that tracking number and we will locate the parcel for you.
You can view the status of your orders online by clicking on the "Track your Order" link. If you would like to query an order, please e-mail our orders department at orders@exclusivebooks.co.za or call +27 11 798 0111 with the details, and we will follow it up for you. Finding a forgotten password
It happens to everyone sooner or later...but the solution is a simple one. Go to the account management page (click on "My Account"). You will be asked to login, but all you need to do is follow the "Forgot your Password" link.
You will be asked to enter your e-mail address and then your details will be e-mailed to you immediately. It is highly recommended that once you have obtained your password in this way, you return to the account management section and change it, since e-mail is not secure.
Returning a Book
What can I return?
Any book bought from us can be returned for any reason whatsoever, as long as you follow the two simple guidelines:
- You must return the book within 30 days of receiving it
- The book must be in the original condition
Please note that we will accept returns on books bought from Exclusive Books.Com only. Books bought in one of our physical stores cannot be returned to us. If you would like to get in touch with the store where you bought the book, please visit our Store Directory.

How do I do it?
Make sure you still have the packing slip/invoice that was shipped with your original parcel. Put this packing slip or a copy into the book and seal the book securely in a new parcel. It is preferred if you include a brief note for our information, but it is not required.

If you do not have the original packing slip/invoice, please include your order number. Failing even that, try to include in your note as much detail as possible so that we can more easily find your information and reverse the charges on your card.
The cost of shipping the parcel back to us will be at your expense
I received a gift I didn't want
Unfortunately, at this time, you will have to inform the person who gave you the gift that you do not want it and would prefer to have it returned. back to top
When and how do you refund my money?
We will refund your money as soon as we have received your return and verified that everything is in order. The money will be credited to your credit card and you will be notified of this either by telephone or by e-mail.
If there is any problem with your return, we will contact you and let you know.
We will refund the full price paid for the book, excluding the cost of shipping. We will only refund the cost of shipping if the book we sent you is not the book you ordered.
