Since 1979, Chapman has written and published more than 20 books. Having been married for more than 35 years himself, and with more than 30 years of pastoring and marriage counselling experience, Chapman is just the man to turn to for help on improving or healing our most important relationships.
His first book, 'Toward a Growing Marriage', began as an informal resource that he gave to couples he was counselling. Once officially published, this book became a blessing to thousands of people and helped launch Chapman's very popular 'Toward a Growing Marriage' seminar.
Chapman is best known for his book, 'The Five Love Languages', first published in 1992. Millions of readers credit this continual bestseller with saving their marriages, by showing them simple and practical ways to communicate their love to their partner. The book has sold 4 million copies in English alone, and has been translated into 36 languages including Arabic and Hindi. Chapman has since expanded his Five Love Languages series to specifically reach out to teens, singles, men, and children.
Gary Chapman's other books include 'The World's Easiest Guide to Family Relationships', 'The Other Side of Love', 'Hope for the Separated', 'Love as a Way of Life', 'Parenting Your Adult Child', 'Home Improvements', 'In-Law Relationships', and 'It Happens Every Spring'.
